Best seedbox that accepts bitcoin and doesn't require all your personal information?

Looking for a relatively cheap seedbox to LTS some red/nw torrents. Not going to be my daily driver. 300-800gb would be ideal. I was looking at the seedhost.eu's boxes, and although they accept bitcoin and have the perfect plan, I don't really want to give them my home address etc...
What would be the best option at this point?

Thunderdome 2020 - Hardcore Stream | Livesets Download

Single sets and interviews can be downloaded via a torrent client. I've also provided mp3 audio-only sets in addition to the videos. Unfortunately, due to a computer problem I was not able to get Ophidian's full set 😿 If you can provide this, please DM me, comment here, or post a comment on the Google Sheet.
The source of the rip for 'Thunderdome 2020 - Hardcore Stream' is a copy of the YouTube stream, recorded using streamlink. Recorded at `best` quality (1080p), and re-encoded as h264 + 320k mp3s for maximum compatibility and minimum loss. The magnet links are available on this spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eJDkMvDRhc5372h3mGFrUNqBxP-HngEbWI6pIwWgZUM/edit?usp=sharing
If you use BitTorrent or μTorrent, I recommend getting a good torrent client like qBittorrent, Transmission for macOS, or Deluge. They dont include advertisements and work as well, if not better.
How to download with qBittorrent
a less than 1 minute tutorial on how to download a liveset if do you do not have qBittorrent yet!
Use the pause button if it goes too fast ;) To copy a link from the spreadsheet use ⌃+C , ⌘+C, or any other equivalent for your OS.
You can also add all the livesets at once: Example
Note: If you have issues with the download not starting, you can add DyonR 's seedbox as a peer manually: 185.45.195.189:20117
Quick tutorial on how to do this
Huge thanks to DyonR for helping me figure out encoding and torrent seeding, and frankly I stole the format of this post and the Google sheet from 😸

Seedbox locations to reach the most users?

Are you OK with direct message offers from vendors?
Not right away.
What are your main reasons for getting a seedbox?
Seeding torrents
Do you have any specific requirements?
Primarily I'm looking to be in the greatest position to seed torrents that rarely need to be seeded, I thought having a seedbox in different locations of the world would give me the best chance for this? For example, whatbox has Availability in the Netherlands, US and Singapore.
The only downfall with this is that one of those locations would only need 200-500gb storage and 200gb upload traffic.I'm still fairly new to seedboxes, I've only used a few apps and haven't been able to utilize them in a beneficial way(primarily syncing, FTP seemed to be faster than those apps).
Plex isn't something I use.
Are you looking for a shared or dedicated solution?
Shared is suitable.
Are you looking for managed or unmanaged solution?
Managed.
Please describe your Seedbox experience:
Three months, two-three seedboxes at a time.
Currently with a provider or used one before?
Just Dediseedbox
What is your Linux experience?
I used to work with Ubuntu six years ago, very rusty.
What is your monthly budget?
I wouldn't say I have a budget, but if something is cheaper and offers similar value, I'm inclined to go with the cheaper.
Payment preferences or requirements?
Usually Paypal or Mastercard, I can do bitcoin, just it's a pain in the ass sometimes.
Do you need support for public trackers?
I do not.
Routing: Tell us your continent:
Australia, but I've been using seedboxes in the Netherlands, so I'm not sure if this matters too much.
What kind of connection speeds do you need?
For the RED dedicated servers, the higher the better, so I can out seed other people. For the server which might use large torrents, not as much.
How much monthly bandwidth is needed?
RED ones, under 1TB, the other one unlimited.
How much disk space do you need?
RED ones, 200gb
List some features you are looking for:
If I can get a sync app which goes as fast as FTP, then that would be terrific. I'm used to seeing a torrent client in front of me, I'd prefer to continue being able to use that as opposed to just command lines.

Big Star Trek fan, looking for a seedbox + plex server to handle 10 HD streams to my fellow trekkers. 🖖

Are you OK with direct message offers from vendors?
No, thank you.
What are your main reasons for getting a seedbox?
  1. Reliable Plex streaming of 10 HD concurrent streams to my friends (1080p preferred, but 720p is acceptable)
  2. Faster downloads to sync one-way with my large at home (30TB, Synology 1019+)
  3. Use xTeve (and IPTV proxy for Plex) through a VPN. (Mullvad)
Do you have any specific requirements?
I would like to put all xTeve traffic through a VPN specifically, but I'm fine with putting all traffic through a VPN.
Are you looking for a shared or dedicated solution?
I'm not sure. Whichever suits my purposes best.
Are you looking for managed or unmanaged solution?
Managed. I'm a relative newbie and would much prefer a GUI over a command line.
Please describe your Seedbox experience:
I used Bytesize hosting once, but that was a very long time ago (>3 years)
Currently with a provider or used one before?
No provider right now.
What is your Linux experience?
I've used Ubuntu and have done some command line work (navigating folders, basic commands, copy/pasting from the web) in both Ubuntu, DSM from my Synology NAS, and on my mac. But again, I prefer a GUI whenever possible.
What is your monthly budget?
$50-70/month
Payment preferences or requirements?
Bitcoin preferred.
Do you need support for public trackers?
Yes, but they're the only ones I know about. I'm open to learning about others.
Routing: Tell us your continent:
North America
What kind of connection speeds do you need?
This is where I'm unsure. I have a group of friends, some of which are pretty old school, with whom I'm trying to organize a watch party (using Plex's new Watch Together feature) so I need a pretty fast connection for them to all be happy with at least 720p and not get frustrated with trying this out.
How much monthly bandwidth is needed?
Aside from 10 concurrent streams of one movie once per week, there will only be about 5 occasional users at most.
How much disk space do you need?
If there is a clever way for the seedbox to sync data one-way to my NAS at home at reasonably high speeds, (I get about 500MBit down from fast.com at home) I would need about 1TB, maybe 2TB for the Star Trek canon.
List some features you are looking for:
GUI. Reliably, speedy Plex streaming to North America. Privacy focussed.
Anything else you think we should know?
I really appreciate you for reading my ramblings, and thanks for your help. 🖖

Time for a Seedbox - would a VPN be better for me?

Are you OK with direct message offers from vendors?
Sure

What are your main reasons for getting a seedbox?
ISP has begun to monitor traffic and is throttling internet to unusable speeds when the torrent protocol is active (regardless of torrent speed-even 1 ubuntu torrent kills the internet)
DMCA notices, not as much

Do you have any specific requirements?
at least 100mbit sftp from box to NA - not hosting plex on the box, I want to pull everything to my local box.

Are you looking for a shared or dedicated solution?
cheap - so shared?

Are you looking for managed or unmanaged solution?
cheap - so unmanaged ?

Please describe your Seedbox experience:
reddit lurking only

Currently with a provider or used one before?
negatory

What is your Linux experience?
better than novice, less than moderate. Ran Ubuntu server for plex and backup stuff for about 5 years.
would prefer an Ubuntu environment - or windows

What is your monthly budget?
under $10 USD

Payment preferences or requirements?
which is best for security without resorting to bitcoin - do I need to buy prepaid visa cards and purchase from public wifi or....????

Do you need support for public trackers?
Yes please, at least for now

Routing: Tell us your continent:
NA

What kind of connection speeds do you need?
at least 100-150 Mbit from seedbox to the internet and at least 100 mbit to NA from seedbox (would prefer services that have test files to see if my connection can get the speeds from their servers)

How much monthly bandwidth is needed?
at least 500GB upload per month - would like at least 1TB upload (used for uploading from seedbox to my machines at home) I understand that some services don't meter the upload used through ftp to transfer off the box, only upload used by the torrents.

How much disk space do you need?
At least 500Gb, but if all other options met, could do with less.

List some features you are looking for:
100+Mbit from seedbox to NA (upload from box to me)
do not need hosted features like plex or other stuff, straight torrent box

Anything else you think we should know?
For 1 TB worth of torrenting a month, would a remote seedbox or vpn for my home network be a better option.

Thanks guys!

Seedbox recommendation Eruope and budget 40€/month

What are your main reasons for getting a seedbox?
I would like to host a server for more people (Plex), using Jellyfin for the first time and expand my library faster
Do you have any specific requirements?
I would need quite some storage because I use private trackers about half the time and gotta seed them :p
Other then that quite some outgoing traffic, because the Plex server and the uploads.
Are you looking for a shared or dedicated solution?
Dedicated if possible
Are you looking for managed or unmanaged solution?
I dont mind
Please describe your Seedbox experience:
I have set up 2 seedboxes in the past but I have to search everything up.
Currently with a provider or used one before?
Currently I am with Ultraseedbox and I like it quite a lot
What is your Linux experience?
Only have used it for the seedboxes.
What is your monthly budget?
40€ a month, but if I can achieve the same with a lower budget then its always welcome :)
Payment preferences or requirements?
Bitcoins
Do you need support for public trackers?
Currently I only have 2 private trackers with a decent ratio. I would like to go into more but I guess it will take a lot of time. I dont think these 2 trackers are currently enough for what I would like to download and that's why I kinda need the public trackers. So I will use them untill I got into more of them.
Routing: Tell us your continent:
Europe
What kind of connection speeds do you need?
Would like to have a decent one. Dont need the best one available.
How much monthly bandwidth is needed?
I have no idea how much Plex uses to be honest, but for downloading alone (uploading it to Gdrive and seeding the torrents) I would need 25TB
How much disk space do you need?
A decent load. Mainly because the private trackers need me to seed the torrents so I have to wait till its enough seeded or seeded for enough time.
List some features you are looking for:
Would like to use Plex, Jellyfin and the download automation (Like Radarr, Sonarr, Deluge and that stuff). Not really gonna do more then that.
Anything else you think we should know?
Think this is all :)

OP SEC questions for seedbox.

Hi, I am about to change seedbox providers and wanted to work on my OP SEC on the way so I have a couple of questions.

  1. I am using a fake address so it doesn't link to me. What country is best and for what reason? (preferably one without taxes)
  2. What crypto-currency is best for anonymity? I know Bitcoin is a public ledger so it's very easy to see where the money is coming from. Anything better?
  3. I am using an email through protonmail that I ONLY use for Private Trackers and nothing else. Is there anything else I should take into consideration or is this pretty much everything?

Please recommend me a Seedbox

Do you wish to be advertised to by providers outside the recommendation thread?
NO
What are your main reasons for getting a seedbox?
For the times my local torrent client has a hard time downloading due to running it through a VPN. I've ran the torrent client without the VPN and suddenly some of those torrents will connect and start downloading, so I don't think port forwarding works like my VPN provider says it should. Running torrents locally will be the norm and I'll only swap to the seedbox if I've noticed the torrent has stopped moving for a long period of time (2-10 days, depending on how busy I am that week).
Do you have any specific requirements?
No, other than supporting port forwarding to allow incoming connections.
Are you looking for a shared or dedicated solution?
Don't care.
Are you looking for managed or unmanaged solution?
Don't care.
Please describe your Seedbox experience:
None.
Currently with a provider or used one before?
Nope.
What is your Linux experience?
Heavy. No worries here.
What is your monthly budget?
Cheaper the better, as it is solely used when I can't download locally through torrent client with my vpn. I won't be in a rush for these torrents, so speed is not a factor.
Payment preferences or requirements?
Card, paypal, bitcoin... I'm pretty flexible.
Do you need support for public trackers?
Yes, as I primarily use public.
Routing: Tell us your continent:
North America
What kind of connection speeds do you need?
Don't care... it could be 1Mbps as long as it allows incoming connections and I can eventually download the resulting file(s).
How much monthly bandwidth is needed?
Minimal... although, on occasion, I'll have single torrents of 20-100GB that I want to download. If it caps out with speed and just stops, I'm ok with that as long as it can resume the next month.
How much disk space do you need?
Just enough space to finish downloading the current torrent. I'm fine copying it to my personal machine and then seeding it further.
List some features you are looking for:
Magnet support, but I imagine all seedboxes support that.
Anything else you think we should know?
This is to only to supplement my local server. When torrents stall out for a long enough period of time, my intention is to try and download them with a seedbox. Speed doesn't matter as I've had some torrents stalled out for about a year. The cheaper the better as it will only be used occasionally. A lot of recommendations on this sub seem to suggest ultraseedbox, but they're sold out of the cheapest plan. If they're the best one, I'd be willing to move up to the next tier, but €7 seems more than necessary for what I'm looking for.

Recommendation for tech savvy user?

What is your budget per month?
Budget isn't much of a factor (within reason--but I haven't seen a seedbox plan yet that is out of my budget)
How much disk space do you need?
5-10TB
Are you looking for shared or dedicated seedbox?
Dedicated
Particular uses, streaming? VPN?
Primarily for building ratio and experimenting.
Need support for Publics?
Would be nice, but not critical
Particular speed
Ludicrous
How much experience do you have with seedboxes, linux, and alike?
Professional linux nerd. Wrote my own BT client using libtorrent.
Is your location problematic?
No.
Particular payment methods
Prefer bitcoin but not a dealbreaker to have to use a CC.
Particular content
Exclusively movies and TV shows.
Problemsome trackers?
No
Any idea on how much bandwidth you need a month?
A fair amount since my intention is to seed a ton to build ratio. "As much as I can get" is an imprecise answer but the best I've got.
Are you a paranoiac, need special safety assurances?
I use a VPN to tunnel all my traffic at my home firewall. Would prefer a seedbox physically located Europe, Asia or South America.
Any other unique requirements?
I'm doing a lot of experimental BT development. In an ideal world, I'd prefer a beefy VPS or even baremetal box that simply had a super fast pipe, plenty of SSD space, and Linux loaded. I can't use anything that doesn't come with shell access. There's also a good chance that I'll need root due to my mucking around with the network stack. Maybe... can anyone recommend a BT-friendly hosting provider that's not located in North America? If not, is this too much to ask for from a seedbox?

Best seedbox with plex and Google drive

Im looking for the best possible seedbox that can run plex, sonarr, radarr, rclone to mount and encrypt Google drive and all other kinds of software to automate the download.
Would love a unlimited bandwith seedbox, about 100-200 Gb should be enough since i will store all the data in google and being able to run 3 direct streams (1 transcode extra would be awesome).
Budget: as low as possible. Im a student living in Europe 😀

Looking for a new seedbox

Hello!

I have tried 2 seedboxes already in the past 1,5 month. I used Feralhosting but didn't get any high downloading speed. I also tried Ultraseedbox but it feels limited with the limited bandwith (uploading).

So I'm looking for a new seedbox and hopefully the last one :)

Do you have any experience of seedboxes?
I set up 2 right now so I will figure out the next one aswell. At least i hope :) I would say 3.

How would you desribe your experience of Linux?
I only used it with the seedboxes but it feels great to be honest. Doing everything without a screen feels satifying. I kinda like it, tho I'm not experienced and look up everything. I would say between a 1-2.

Are you looking for managed or unmanaged solution?
Unmanaged

What is your monthly budget?
About 20 euro for each month.

Are you looking for a shared or dedicated seedbox?
I would say the best price/quality one. And I'm not sure if a dedicated would fit my budget :)

Do you support for public trackers?
I'm only downloading from private ones.

Ok, now we need to know a bit more about your particular needs.
What are your main reasons getting a seedbox?
Donwloading content for Plex, use private trackers and the VPN for my other devices :)

What is your rough geographic location?
The Netherlands

Do have any specific requirements?
Fast upload and download speed and unlimited bandwith. Would love some storage aswell (2TB+)

What speeds are you looking for, 100Mbps 1G, 10G?
10GB or higher.

Preferred payment methods?
Bitcoins

What kind of content will you be downloading?
Kinda everything: Games, Movies, TV Shows, Anime and stuff for Plex.

Any other unique requirements?
Not really.

getting higher ratio and buffer and upload so i can dowload more, convenience, privacy and security, saving diskspace by streaming with Plex, automation, etc.
Do you have any specific requirements?
i want to be getting the best for what i am paying. i wish to pay in bitcoin and to have everything set up.
Are you looking for a shared or dedicated solution?
dedicated
Are you looking for managed or unmanaged solution?

Please describe your Seedbox experience:
N/A
Currently with a provider or used one before?

Payment preferences or requirements?
Bitcoin
Do you need support for public trackers?
this is preferred

How much monthly bandwidth is needed?
i am hoping for unlimited, at least several terabytes, i hope Plex traffic isn't capped
How much disk space do you need?
>/= 1TB, though i am prioritizing having more. might settle for less if it's SSD
List some features you are looking for:
Plex, autodl-irssi, root access, rutorrent and/or deluge, perhaps automatic payments, thorough account deletion
Anything else you think we should know?
good customer service preferred but honestly not a priority, more likely to try a service that allows refunds. looking heavily into SSD plans. will probably wait until black friday to buy mine. tell me about any coupons the service provides.

New to seedboxes - looking for a recommendation of where to start

What is your budget per month? $20 USD
How much disk space do you need? 1 TB would be nice
Are you looking for shared or dedicated seedbox? Not totally sure but I imagine shared would be fine for me
Particular uses, streaming? VPN? One-click ease? Racing? Downloading movies, shows, and games to enjoy on my own PC. I'm not sure if a VPN is necessary to get the files from the seedbox to my PC.
What is the primary reason for getting a seedbox? DMCA? Ratio? Wife discovered Porn? Please expand. DCMA, mostly. Don't want to worry about getting any notices. Maybe ratio in the future if I can manage to join any private trackers.
Location (yours and/or the vendors)? Most seedboxes are concentrated in Europe (France, Netherlands, Germany) My location is the United States. I'm seeing that plenty of seedboxes are located in the Netherlands, but I'll take whatever works best for someone in the US.
Particular speed (100M, 1G, 10G, Ludicrous Speed, etc)? Slow, fast, fastest. Fastest speed available for the budget. I'm guessing this would be somewhere around 10G from what I've seen around.
Do you use public trackers extensively? Yes. I have no access to any private trackers as of yet but I think I would like to in the future once I understand how all of this works.
How much experience do you have with seedboxes, linux, and alike? Need a lot of handholding? No experience with seedboxes, very little experience with Linux but I'm happy to learn.
Is your location problematic? e.g. I'm at university. I'm one of three people on the island of Yap. Nope, just living at a normal residence.
Particular payment methods the vendor needs to accept: bitcoin, paypal, paysafecard, Turkish Lire? PayPal or credit card methods would be preferred
Particular content: Games, TV shows, Anime; Movies; Remuxes; the oeuvre of Fatty Arbuckle? Popular TV shows, Movies, Anime, and Video Games. I like getting Blu Ray files and Remuxes so files occasionally range from 20 GB to 100 GB depending if it's a long running show.
Using problemsome trackers like public ones or challenging trackers like RED and CHD? I use public trackers almost exclusively for the moment. I may attempt joining RED in the future as well since I've seen people say it's a great enterance into private trackers.
Any idea on how much bandwidth you need a month? 1TB; 3TB; 30TB? I feel that 1TB should be fine. Unless more is recommended in order to help maintain ratios and such. But 1TB should be good for my current digest of media.
Are you a paranoiac, need special safety assurances? Nope. Just want to feel at ease that I won't get any DMCA notices.
Other more unique requirements? You want to run a website too; Azureus is your favorite client, can't live without it; Or god forbid you really, really need Windows. No other unique requirements.

In need of another seedbox

Currently I got a seedbox (Thunder plan) from Ultraseedbox.com. It's working great, but unfortunately I need more upload bandwith. I got it 4 days now and I already burned 33% of the upload data... Before this seedbox I tried feralhosting, but the speed was low.
What is your budget per month?
My budget is around 10-15 euro.
How much disk space do you need?
1 TB would be enough. Not really lower and I dont need more although its always welcome to have 1,5TB. Won't use more then this tho.
Are you looking for shared or dedicated seedbox?
Shared one is fine. Don't think I can get an dedicated one for this budget :)
** Particular uses, streaming? VPN? One-click ease? Racing?**
I'm going to run Plex on it and I will download from private trackers, so racing would be great. Currently I have set up 2 seedboxes already so I kinda know how to set those up. Don't need one-click apps.
What is the primary reason for getting a seedbox? DMCA? Ratio? Wife discovered Porn?
DMCA and Ratio.
Location (yours and/or the vendors)? Most seedboxes are concentrated in Europe (France, Netherlands, Germany)
The Netherlands
Particular speed (100M, 1G, 10G, Ludicrous Speed, etc)? Slow, fast, fastest.
Don't need the best speed but also don't want the slowest one. Ultraseedbox got 20 gbps and thats really fast. I can live with a slower connection speed. I would say everything above 5 gbps would be great but at least 1 gbps.
** Do you use public trackers extensively?**
I use private and public trackers. I kinda wanna move to private tho since it has more.
Particular payment methods the vendor needs to accept: bitcoin, paypal, paysafecard, Turkish Lire?
Bitcoins
Particular content: Games, TV shows, Anime; Movies; Remuxes; the oeuvre of Fatty Arbuckle?
Kinda everything.
Using problemsome trackers like public ones or challenging trackers like RED and CHD?
I'm using IPTV at the moment and would like to join more. I'm trying to get my ratio as high as possible :)
Any idea on how much bandwidth you need a month? 1TB; 3TB; 30TB?
Would love if it has unlimited bandwith.
All in all I need a seedbox that can run Plex, has some decent speed, about 1 - 1,5 TB of space and unlimited bandwith.
I saw the following services that I might be interested in to try:
Do you guys know which one is the best, maybe have alternatives and which seedbox allows torrents (just ignores DMCA letters and such)?

Best value for money seedbox just for ratio on private trackers

What is your budget per month?
If I was running this all year then around $12 AUD (€5) but I could get a more expensive one for a shorter time.
How much disk space do you need?
I'd just be using this for ratio so whatever gets me the best ratio
Are you looking for shared or dedicated seedbox?
I don't mind as long as it works with private trackers
Particular uses, streaming? VPN? One-click ease? Racing? Plex, Seeding long term (PTP, BTN Mainly)
Ratio
Particular speed (100M, 1G, 10G, Ludicrous Speed, etc)? Slow, fast, fastest.
I just want the most ratio for my money
Do you use public trackers extensively?
Very rarely, I'd be using this mostly for seeding on BLU and RED
How much experience do you have with seedboxes, linux, and alike? Need a lot of handholding?
A shitload
Particular payment methods the vendor needs to accept: bitcoin, paypal, paysafecard, Turkish Lire?
Paypal or Credit card is fine
Particular content: Games, TV shows, Anime; Movies
TV, movies and music
Any idea on how much bandwidth you need a month? 1TB; 3TB; 30TB?
As much as possible
Are you a paranoiac, need special safety assurances?
Not really.

Help wanted in my first Seedbox

Sooo after year's of using web services in Terms of Torrent Dls I want to get my own seedbox. I would really appreciate every Tip and Trick, because in terms of seedboxes, I have not really any experience.

Other important criteria might include, you might touch on, is for example:
Ratio and I can't really use torrents from home because of my location (Germany)
My location is Germany, location of the vendor idk ? What would be the best choice?
I would say everything from 100M to 1G
I use public's but if need to count not more than 30 -40 things(movies, series etc) a month
I don't have any knowledge with seedboxes and or Linux, was always a Windows user.
The country where I live Is problematic xD but otherwise no, internet is private not over a university or something like that.
Paysafe, PayPal would be Good, no credit card or cryptos
Sometimes Anime, Games TV Shows and movies but most time's wrestling show's from private trackers like Xtreme wrestling torrents
I layman's terms, I think I need something with around 350 to 500gb Storage, 1 - 2tb bandwidth, I mostly would use private trackers like xwt but sometimes also public's like rargb. Location for seedbox the safest (Netherlands?). No knowledge of Linux or seedboxes. A gui would be great. (Don't know if that is normal for a seedbox or not).
Thanks to every tip :)

Help me with picking a seedbox? Please... pretty please?

There are so damn many seedboxes out there, if I can get some recommendations that would be fantastic. I did my best to search the subreddit and the net but I would still like to have some suggestions.
